திருச்சி பாரதிதாசன் பல்கலைக்கழகத்திற்கு உட்பட்ட அனைத்து கல்லூரிகளிலும் தேர்வு கட்டணத்தை கூடுதலாக உயர்த்தி 07.10.24 அன்று ஆணையை வெளியிட்டு இருக்கிறது, பல்கலைக்கழக நிர்வாகம். திருச்சி, தஞ்சாவூர் திருவாரூர், நாகப்பட்டினம், புதுக்கோட்டை, பெரம்பலூர், அரியலூர் மற்றும் கரூர் ஆகிய டெல்டா மாவட்டங்களில் உள்ள கல்லூரிகளில் பெரும்பாலும் ஏழை எளிய விவசாய மற்றும் விவசாயக் கூலி தொழிலாளர்கள் வீட்டு பிள்ளைகளே கல்வி பயின்று வருகின்றனர். பெறும் பொருளாதார நெருக்கடிகள் நிலையில் இருக்கும் நிலையில் தேர்வு கட்டணத்தை உயர்த்திருப்பது மாணவர்களுக்கு பெரும் சிரமத்தை ஏற்படுத்தி உள்ளது.
