தமிழ் சினிமாவில் முன்னணி நடிகர்களில் ஒருவராக வலம் வரும் தளபதி விஜய் நடிப்பில், இயக்குனர் நெல்சன் இயக்கத்தில் உருவாகியுள்ள திரைப்படம் பீஸ்ட். சன் பிக்சர்ஸ் நிறுவனம் தயாரித்துள்ள இப்படத்தில் யோகி பாபு, அபர்ணா தாஸ், செல்வராகவன் மற்றும் பலர் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடித்துள்ளனர்.
பீஸ்ட் படத்திற்கு அனிருத் இசையமைத்துள்ளார். இந்தப் படத்தில் இடம்பெற்ற அரபிக்குத்து, ஜாலியோ ஜிம்கானா போன்ற பாடல்கள் ஏற்கனவே வெளிவந்த நிலையில் சில தினங்களுக்கு முன்பு பீஸ்ட் மோட் பாடல் வெளியாகி பட்டி தொட்டியெல்லாம் பட்டையை கிளப்பியது. பீஸ்ட் திரைப்படம் ஏப்ரல் 13-ஆம் தேதி திரையரங்குகளில் ரிலீசாக உள்ளது.
அதற்காக ரசிகர்கள் பெருமளவில் எதிர்பார்த்து காத்திருக்கின்றனர். இந்த நிலையில் முஸ்லிம் மக்களை தீவிவாதிகளாக சித்தரிக்கும் காட்சிகள் இடம் பெற்று இருப்பதாக கூறி குவைத் நாட்டில் பீஸ்ட் படத்தை திரையிட தடை விதித்திருந்த நிலையில் தற்போது கத்தார் நாட்டிலும் திரையிட தடை விதிக்கப் பட்டிருக்கிறது.
